Pros

Paycheck, Paycheck, Paycheck, Paycheck, Paycheck

Cons

There is no bigger fan of Silverado than itself. It's the same old story. Great company with a great reputation. Yet the caregivers are at best numbers on a balance sheet to be disposed of on a whim. Sure, they "talk the big talk" about how much they value their employees. But actions speak louder than words. I've never seen so many people fired in my life! Their ruthlessness is stunning considering that their work environment is not that great. Give it up Silverado, your arrogance precedes you. You you are not as important as you think you are! Heed my warning: Take a pass on this company!

Dear Former Associate: Thank you for your feedback. At Silverado, we pride ourselves on providing world-class service to those we serve. Silverado works hard to maintain our status as a great place to work, and we have successfully lowered our turnover rates over the past few years – a rate that is consistently better than the industry standard. Please know that our Home Office Human Resources team is always available to speak with you about your experience at Silverado. Your input helps us become better as supporting our current and future associates. It’s one of the reasons we consistently rank as a Top Workplace. Thanks again.

Pros

Very meaningful and rewarding work helping families through one of the hardest transitions in life. The role truly allows you to make a difference and positively impact residents and families every day. Supportive team environment with leadership that understands the emotional side of the work. During a difficult personal time when my grandfather was dying, the company was incredibly supportive and allowed me the time I needed to be at his bedside with my family. It is truly a blessing to be part of Silverado. The work we do changes lives by giving families the opportunity to be family again while knowing their loved one is being cared for with compassion, dignity, and support.

Cons

The work can be emotionally heavy at times because you build close relationships with residents and families who are going through difficult situations. However, the support from the team and leadership helps make those challenges manageable.
