Pros

I really enjoyed the residents and co-workers. The motto of the company is great. I wish that they cared about the employees as well.

Cons

Management does not support the employees. They will fire you rather than work to solve problems. I have seen great nurses and caregivers fired. They tossed them out like disposable gloves.

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. At Silverado, we really try and focus on support and education for our associates – beyond the requirements of continuing education for your licensure. We have an education reimbursement program, LIFE Leaders training, that helps to build and develop supervisory skills, and have supported many in their pursuit of becoming a certified nurse assistant, a nurse and even a future leader at Silverado. I invite you to contact a member of our Human Resources team to share your experience and what areas you believe we can improve.

Pros

Very meaningful and rewarding work helping families through one of the hardest transitions in life. The role truly allows you to make a difference and positively impact residents and families every day. Supportive team environment with leadership that understands the emotional side of the work. During a difficult personal time when my grandfather was dying, the company was incredibly supportive and allowed me the time I needed to be at his bedside with my family. It is truly a blessing to be part of Silverado. The work we do changes lives by giving families the opportunity to be family again while knowing their loved one is being cared for with compassion, dignity, and support.

Cons

The work can be emotionally heavy at times because you build close relationships with residents and families who are going through difficult situations. However, the support from the team and leadership helps make those challenges manageable.
