Pros

The employees and patients are terrific.

Cons

Love > Fear couldn't be further from the truth. The concept if truly believed and pushed down from the top could set this organization apart from all the rest. Instead, it is referred to as drinking the Koolaid when you go to the home office for training. Then you go back to your respective offices and there is no support from this conference call, meeting driven company that is daily bottom line driven. The problem is there are great people in the offices trying to provide world class care and a bunch of out of touch executives setting unattainable goals and budgets. > 80% of their offices are not meeting goals. Out of 35 Senior Living facilities, 10 Hospices, and 5 At Home offices thats not saying much.

Pros

Very meaningful and rewarding work helping families through one of the hardest transitions in life. The role truly allows you to make a difference and positively impact residents and families every day. Supportive team environment with leadership that understands the emotional side of the work. During a difficult personal time when my grandfather was dying, the company was incredibly supportive and allowed me the time I needed to be at his bedside with my family. It is truly a blessing to be part of Silverado. The work we do changes lives by giving families the opportunity to be family again while knowing their loved one is being cared for with compassion, dignity, and support.

Cons

The work can be emotionally heavy at times because you build close relationships with residents and families who are going through difficult situations. However, the support from the team and leadership helps make those challenges manageable.
