Pros

Average Salary. Weekly pay. Kids can go to work with you.

Cons

Worked for the at Home division. Women openly discuss sex lives and entrap men. No HR to help. Terminate without justification. First incident happened at Houston office where I was often encouraged to share my personal life. I was constantly exposed to the staff's personal lives which included crude comments. My children stayed the day at the office and after work asked me what a certain adult toy was. But when I asked for advise on a personal situation, not inappropriate, next thing I know I'm having to speak to the boss. Second incident happened during training in California. The trainer, which I never met before, asked how my personal issue was going. Then during our full day of driving around, talked in depth about her single and dating life. Next day I'm terminated by Corporate employees I never met. My expense account was immediately deleted and I'm still fighting to be paid. Company treated me as a deviant when my children and I were exposed to inappropriate office behavior.

Pros

Very meaningful and rewarding work helping families through one of the hardest transitions in life. The role truly allows you to make a difference and positively impact residents and families every day. Supportive team environment with leadership that understands the emotional side of the work. During a difficult personal time when my grandfather was dying, the company was incredibly supportive and allowed me the time I needed to be at his bedside with my family. It is truly a blessing to be part of Silverado. The work we do changes lives by giving families the opportunity to be family again while knowing their loved one is being cared for with compassion, dignity, and support.

Cons

The work can be emotionally heavy at times because you build close relationships with residents and families who are going through difficult situations. However, the support from the team and leadership helps make those challenges manageable.
