Pros

Great co-workers. Nice lounge area. You get to work on some nice books (especially if you work with the children's department).

Cons

The company is overall is not supportive of growth among their employees. It is the most unhealthy place to work due to all of the cliques and back stabbing that take place. The SVP of Sales and the CFO patrol the hallways at night to see who is still in the office after 5pm. It is by far the worst corporation that I have ever worked for in the publishing industry.

Pros

Great benefits, good leadership within imprints, incredible flexibility with office vs. hybrid.

Cons

Communication between higher ups rarely makes its way down and the goals of a team are often not said explicitly, making one feel unsure of what's valued most.
