Pros

I've been here for over 10 years and I've truly enjoyed working here. It feels like year over year, I find more things I enjoy. More perks, more awesome team members, more amazing clients, more skills developed and technologies learned. As a company, we are agile, and nimble, but have many talented people working with us, which leaves us extremely powerful. Things I love most: 1. The people. 2. The content we create and experiences we produce. 3. The amount of learning and opportunity for growth. 4. Genuine owners that reward hardwork, honesty and responsibility.

Cons

I've been here a long time, so it's interesting to read a negative review. Obviously people who were let go are upset, however, there are two sides to every story. If you are kind, smart and a team player, it doesn't matter who you are, or where you've come from, you will be incredibly successful here and have unbelievable room for growth. Early in my time here at Simple Science, at times I would get frustrated with the amount of projects the owners said yes to, or the expectations they put on me to learn to new skills or master new projects. Later I realized, it all stems from a natural competitiveness and genuine belief that their team is the best, most talented group of individuals around... and not only can we do it, but we can do it better than the rest. Once I that perspective changed, what was once a frustration, turned into something I love most about working here. The amount of personal and professional growth that has come from working at Simple Science is incredible.

Pros

No two days are ever the same...you’ll get to travel the world, work with fun people, free Friday lunches, and casual office environment.

Cons

Definitely a lot of learning as you go, so if you need hand-holding, this might not be the gig for you..

Pros

Friday lunches and holiday gatherings were nice morale boosters. Some opportunities to gain experience in different areas since roles often extended beyond job descriptions.

Cons

Work-life balance was very difficult to maintain. Employees were often expected to work weekends and extremely long days (sometimes from early morning until very late at night, ex 8am to 2am), especially around events. Staffing levels did not match the workload. At times, I was responsible for the equivalent of three different roles simultaneously, without additional pay or support. My first two paychecks were delayed, and I had to follow up multiple times to receive payment. Leadership struggled with communication and consistency. Decisions were sometimes reversed (e.g., letting employees go due to “lack of work” and then rehiring them shortly after). High turnover, with many employees leaving due to burnout or dissatisfaction. PTO was minimal (only 5 days of earned PTO per year starting out). The culture could feel overly critical at times, with low morale among staff.
