Pros
Having a steady job in my desired field is great, been with the company for two+ years now. The local talent and staff are overall very friendly and great to work with.
Cons
There are a few major draw backs. 1. The constant fear of automation making my a segment and eventually all of my work computer controlled means I'm stuck casually looking for the next job at all times, never knowing if or when I'll eventually be replaced by computer controllers, though from what I know this isn't just with this company but an industry-wide issue. 2. My personal ideals don't align with the often far-right slant of product the corporate level produces and sends out as "Must Run Segments" to all of its local franchises. If you've seen the John Oliver segments about the company, I can confirm there is definite truth there, most completely. 3. In line with number one, I've reached the max potential in my current role. Save the minor annual cents on the dollar raise, I have no room to grow currently and continuing fear that despite overall positive performance reviews: any rolling quarter with the company may be my last if my role becomes an automated process or they downsize departments or show schedules.
