Terrible 401(k).
Anyone in management is a company person so what’s good for corporate will always come first.
You have to run Sinclair propaganda.
The more you step up for your team the more management will expect you to do daily. For example I’m a photographer but I helped out with web so now I’m expected to do web all time they rely on me to do it. Managers pick stories with no rhyme or reason. Mine is not consistent or thoughtful in his decision making. They are not very considerate to us especially female reporters. You’ll make minimum wage but be expected to be on call regularly. When you are on call you’re not paid unless you get called in. If you are called in you’ll be forced to come in late to avoid paying you overtime.
The company at least at my station handled the pandemic terribly. No consistency in rules they took away all my sick time and tried to sideline me for 28 days because I was in contact with a person that had taken a covid test (it turned out negative). The covid screening made no real sense. When I asked HR to make sense of it they gave me no answer besides I need to understand the risks of my job. Really the culture is terrible. If you don’t have a passion for what you do there is no reason for you to deal with this company.
