Pros
- Nobody does audio better - Creative and nice colleagues - SiriusXM has expansive reach across music, sports, politics, culture, etc. - The shows can be fantastic and so much fun to work if you have a great combination of hosts and team (producers/APs) - Great charity matching program - Pre-COVID, they had events for employees like a BBQ and an ice cream day. - Execs are very good at what they do - They take DE&I seriously
Cons
- Very poor pay. It simply isn't equal to the industry standard and doesn't offer a quality of living in places like New York, LA, or D.C. where the three major headquarters are based. - Talent is empowered to an extent that they say or do things without fear of reprisals - It takes too long for really good ideas to go through the pipeline and become actualized. This isn't uncommon in big corporations, but it's unfortunate because it can feel like the company is following instead of leading.
