Pros

good Snacks, colleagues are enjoyable, product is progressive and relevant

Cons

LEADERSHIP: Company was originally steered by a young, egomaniacal, first time CEO that had created a very flat dictatorial management structure. Recently acquired and is actively experiencing all the classic growing pains of being gobbled up by a larger organization i.e. reorging (terminations), lack of communication, confusion, added barriers, restructure systems, etc. MANAGEMENT: Middle/lower management again are young and inexperienced but also easy manipulated and handcuffed from creativity. They do not truly have their departments best interests at heart due to a fear of replacement. Employees are micromanaged and scrutinized over very minuscule imperfections. Mistakes are highlighted and excessive disciplining is carried out too quickly and without rationale. PRODUCT: Product development is atrociously slow. High employee churn in Product/Development/Engineering. No executive attention on product enhancements or bug fixes which had severely impacted client and employee attrition. CULTURE: Your time at SkySlope can be really cool or really not cool. They have that typical 'illumunati' that rules the roost. Classic double standard. Special treatment to the few while most carry the work load walk on eggshells. They do love to party though. Full spread of liquor for every little meeting or announcement lol. "We're making the blue button green everyone....cheers!!!!!" I felt like I was in Mad Men. #SkySloshed #SkySlurp #SkySwerve #SkySlop

Thank you for providing this review and am sorry you did not have a good experience at SkySlope. To address your concern on management, I would say there is room for opportunity here. We have since hired a leadership coach to provide the coaching and support for our managers to be their best and in turn provide a better experience to our people. As for the employee churn in Development and product, we did have some in early 2018 do to some key people leaving, but since then our engagement in that department as well as turnover has never been better.
