Pros

Flight benefits available from partner carriers and ZED fares. Health, dental, ADD, Short Term Disability. Min income is based on 18.27 starting wage and a 76 hour guarantee for reserve status. Per diem is 1.90 All flights hours worked between 77 to 85 is base flight hour pay plus per diem. 86 to legal limit has a 5 dollar additional amount added to base rate. Recommend reducing to minimums and savings before tackling on wage with flight hour pay.

Cons

All FAs start on reserve and depending on the base you can be on reserve over one year. When trying to search for other work to supplement income, other employers, the reserve status makes finding a flexible second employer difficult. The pay is great if you want to have this as a fun job with assistance of a partner or family or staying in a crash pad. I would not try to make this a primary income source unless it’s years down the road and expenses are low and live in a leas expensive city. Essentially, until a schedule is achieved with control your life is at the mercy of Crew Support. You’ll either love it or hate it. Hourly rate is only paid during flight time not while at the airport or during other events that could occur. Probation is one year in comparison to other mainline carriers around 6 months.

Pros

Great benefits with multiple airlines, amazing crew and better scheduling after seniority

Cons

Making enough to travel will be tough. Recommended to have a side job . No union and no mercy for attendance even after a difficult year.
