Pros
The products made by Skydio is industry leading and literally from the future. In my specific role, I'm encouraged to figure things out and also given the support to solve issues and create end to end processes that benefit the company. I do also believe compensation is directly correlated with your performance and there's a lot of room to move up or around at the company. Employees are given all the tools to succeed: hardware, software, WFH office equipment reimbursement, education reimbursements Benefits are great: Affordable Healthcare with many different options with great coverage Family Planning added benefit ($20K lifetime) WFH and in office flexibility (depending on your role) Meals and snacks are high quality, delicious, and free Partial gym membership or equipment reimbursement Many events for employees to participate in (they do a lot of little things to show that they care about you)
Cons
Frequent long hours with very high expectations, which in my opinion is normal for a high performing startup. The vision to grow and tone from the top is solid, but the interpretation of the vision seems to get lost somewhere in the middle and execution seems to differ from the original intent. Defined ownership and accountability must be enforced.
