Pros
- Work Life Balance: I have experienced pretty good work life balance here. Can pretty much expect a 9-5. Overall people are respectful of your boundaries too. - Benefits: I'm fairly happy with my benefits here and the PTO is not bad, while there could be more sick days
Cons
- Progression is slow: promotions keep freezing and they put a lot of people at lower levels than they deserve to be. Those who joined in the early days saw fast promotion but those who were post-COVID hires are seeing much slower career progression. - Favoritism: there is significant favoritism here and some people have made discriminatory remarks towards me. But, due to favoritism, none of this was ever addressed. - Unfulfilling work: I read a post that said it earlier, the work is extremely unfulfilling and they don't really care what your strengths/interests are. The work that is provided clients also does not feel valuable. - Cliquey: its incredibly cliquey and people try to brainwash you. It feels like you are getting brainwashed daily on how great the company is and how great the "culture" is. But the culture is fake-nice and then later on they lay off everyone. - "The Way Slalom Is": also read this in an earlier post but I just want to reiterate. They refuse to do anything to change and will box you into something because that's just the way it is. If you ever try to give your opinion or advice they will just tell you that unfortunately that's how it is. I've heard this is the Slalom Way or this is the way Slalom is far too many times. They always brag how much better they are than the big houses but this is 100% not true having worked there myself and now regretting leaving.
