Pros

Decent pay and benefits, fancy office

Cons

Terrible experience. The only Woman of Color in Senior Leadership bullies other POCs in the company and the rest of leadership let her get away with it. This killed my mental health and I found out after leaving that this was happening to many others (psychological torture, micromanaging, campaigns to fire and push back promotion for other WOC). They brand themselves as a firm where you have a say in your career direction and that they’re “different” from other firms when in reality all they care about is the money. Started fine but culture has changed immensely, tons of micromanaging, forcing people in remote roles and on the bench back to the office. especially after the 2 rounds of layoffs in the last year everyones having a terrible time VALUES: They don’t care about their employees which speaks to how they’ve ousted several leaders across markets including GMs to replace them with people who can shovel in more money. EARLY CAREER: Great way to get your foot into the consulting industry but start looking for your next role as soon as possible because they have no idea what to do with junior talent so will just have you do secretarial and internal projects to keep you busy. Makes it difficult to learn and grow skills or figure out area of interest. PEOPLE/CULTURE: some people are really great, but for NYC market most transactional and only want to get to know you for what you can do for them. Other markets have better culture PROJECTS: Prepare to be on a 6 month project for 1.5 years + with no flexibility to move. Staff augmentation and being treated badly by clients is fine as long as they’re paying the company enough. BONUSES: On top of that they’ve stopped paying out bonuses to people who’ve been fully utilized as a way to save money, screwing them out of thousands when they’re competitors give 2-3x’s in bonuses. Pathetic. GROWTH: If you don’t like brown nosing and going to all the company events to network, you will never be promoted. It’s a popularity competition and truly has nothing to do with merit.

Pros

•There is an impressive budget, especially for high-level events, ancillary experiences, client giveaways, and premium swag. Management does not hesitate to fund top-notch brand experiences when needed. •The company offers a highly competitive benefits and perks package that remains a strong selling point.

Cons

•The "fiercely human" core value does not match daily operations. Collaboration is routinely replaced by a self-service model of training videos and help articles. •These recurring shifts are designed to manufacture the appearance of fiscal stability for the benefit of external stakeholders and clients, while leaving core operational deficits unaddressed. •Organizational maturity is low. Teams operate in deep silos, the internal tech stack is outdated, and there is a distinct lack of adequate project and event management software.
