Pros

Was brought in as an expert in my field. Was sold on the culture, life work balance, exponential growth of the company. Pitched as an opportunity to join the leadership team to help the company become a large global company. Was a great sales pitch by the recruiter and executive leadership.

Cons

In my opinion. From the get-go, I learned that executive leadership make decisions based on feelings, and closed-door meetings. Many leaders have a small company mentality and cannot manage on a large scale. Lots of micro-management. Leadership is not open to change, nor continuous improvement and favor tenured leaders and employees from the Seattle office. During the layoffs and continued quiet layoffs, there are clear examples of Seattle based retention bias based on historical personal relationships rather than performance and workloads. (I believe I am an example of the bias). I would anticipate the company to continue to lay off and outsource employees, as they simply don’t know how to manage a large company.

Pros

•There is an impressive budget, especially for high-level events, ancillary experiences, client giveaways, and premium swag. Management does not hesitate to fund top-notch brand experiences when needed. •The company offers a highly competitive benefits and perks package that remains a strong selling point.

Cons

•The "fiercely human" core value does not match daily operations. Collaboration is routinely replaced by a self-service model of training videos and help articles. •These recurring shifts are designed to manufacture the appearance of fiscal stability for the benefit of external stakeholders and clients, while leaving core operational deficits unaddressed. •Organizational maturity is low. Teams operate in deep silos, the internal tech stack is outdated, and there is a distinct lack of adequate project and event management software.
