      Pros

      I loved everything about smartstyle, the business and employees

      Cons

      The former manager, at the time, was stealing from the company and i reported her. When she found out it was me she made my life miserable. One day, i had to have an emergency surgery and when i tried to contact her to fill out the leave of abscence, she kept avoiding me and made it seem like i didn't want to return and the system drop me. That caused me to lose my source of income making it so that i gad to move to my inlaws house (out of state).

      Lenient dress code, ample access to new clientele, video library to expand skills and product knowledge, PTO and benefits

      The salons are almost always short staffed

      • Poor management and retaliation for raising concerns • Unauthorized schedule changes with no notice • Unfair NCE pressure and write-ups despite strong sales performance • Micromanagement from 400+ miles away with no understanding of local conditions • High turnover due to bad communication and bullying
