      Pros

      Access to SOME education but not much due to the fact that they made us watch videos instead of paying an educator to come to the salon.

      Cons

      Overall, most of my time at Smart Style wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great due to the fact that the company makes so much profit off of stylists while paying them very little. There were times where I worked with some cool people but other times where I worked with unfair management like the district leaders or their higher ups who only expected more from you no matter how much you were doing.

      Lenient dress code, ample access to new clientele, video library to expand skills and product knowledge, PTO and benefits

      I loved working there. I loved my job. I loved meeting new people..

      • Poor management and retaliation for raising concerns • Unauthorized schedule changes with no notice • Unfair NCE pressure and write-ups despite strong sales performance • Micromanagement from 400+ miles away with no understanding of local conditions • High turnover due to bad communication and bullying
