Like most companies trying to compete across several domains, Snyk doesn't have nearly enough product managers and engineering staff to deliver on it's product vision and strategy. They are lacking many key features competitors have and have failed to deliver key product deliverables on time, which has caused customer headaches and churn. Additionally, the support team does a poor job at handling support cases, which makes it difficult to keep happy customers. Finally, there really seems to be a disconnect between upper management/finance/HR and the middle management teams below that are actually managing teams on the ground. This is evident because several rounds of layoffs have occurred since July 2022, where top talent was let go without any discussion to allow them to stay or possibly transition into another role. This isn't a sound strategy to support enterprise customers if you remove your most seasoned employees that deliver the experience and skills you need in order to successfully penetrate the enterprise market.
