Pros

Great product that serves developers like me. Work life balance. Very decent pay and benefits. Working with team members all over the world. Team leads who care and look out for you (I've already been with 4 and they've all been like that in different ways). Incredibly competent engineers, complex challenges.

Cons

While overall they've been remote-first for a long time, the company has been opening several new offices and have been giving the vibe that further down the line they intend to push remote work out. Slack takes getting used to. Too many reorgs and change of managers in a short time. A loss of team, group, division and executive managers seems like a vote of no-confidence in the vision (or possible lack thereof) by many competent managers. It also makes it more difficult to grow.

Pros

The pay, the people, the benefits

Cons

They're a non-public, start-up company, they had layoffs which is always scary.

Pros

Product is simple to learn Most of the people are wonderful

Cons

No career opportunities - whatever position/salary you get hired at is the end of your journey. I am pretty sure I saw less than 4 TSMs get promoted in my entire time there. Beyond toxic internal systems - Sales teams completely control your life/career, whatever you are imagining isn't half of how bad it gets. No vision at all - I had 4 different direct managers, 3 different directors and all but a handful of C-suites ran for the hills. Clearly no one knows what to do with the company. Product - Its honestly a wonderfully polished turd. Snyk looks really good at first, then you realize it barely does SCA/SAST, DAST is good but thats only because they acquired it. Their AI tooling... half baked would imply someone at least thought about putting it in the oven. Layoffs - Didn't impact me, but clearly investors want their money and only hope is to gut the company.
