Pros

Hours are good, what you have to clean is a small amount, commission plus salary, get to know the other workers, loyal customers that would come back just to chat, and if you like selling things to people, are a bit sneaky, and like doing hair, then this is a job for you.

Cons

I would come home feeling like I was going to cry, because the boss would be so demanding with you and always on your back. There was a lot of pressure. You had to memorize the exact hair color of over 30 hair extensions and be able to identify from a distance what someone's hair color was, grab it, and get them to try the extensions. You had to make every hair style look easy, when it really wasn't, so that people would buy it. Many times I felt stupid selling things to customers, because everything was really overpriced, and they expected me to sell when I really didn't know how to do any hairstyles. They teach you a few hairstyles, but while you are learning them you are expected to do them on people, and it's embarrassing and scary to do such a messy thing on a customer's hair. I never felt like the boss was nice to me at all, and the pay was minimum wage.

Pros

Literally nothing, really nothing. Nope, not at all.

Cons

1. Lack of Management: They attempt to micromanage your work despite having no professional background in your field. He/she throws out ideas about tasks and forces you to implement them, even if they are technically incorrect. 2. Employee Safety Neglected: They disregard employee safety, requiring staff to come to work during a winter storm, putting them at risk. 3. No R&R or Training: There are no defined roles and responsibilities, nor is there any training provided. You are expected to handle tasks outside your field and study related materials on your own time, including weekends. 4. Inappropriate Behavior: One manager asked me, "Do you have any social communication disorder?" I seriously considered legal action that day but decided to quit instead to avoid further interaction with them. 5. Unsanitary Conditions: The kitchen, restrooms, and overall environment are dirty.
