Pros
Flexible Hours Someone always willing to cover a session if you can't make it Sometimes you're paid double if you cover a session for someone Great pay AMAZING coworkers The curriculum spells out exactly what you're supposed to do each session so you don't have to worry about coming up with your own drills. Can do as much/as little work as you want. Your pay isn't taxed up front (but make sure to keep track of that for tax season) Managers/bosses are super chill and helpful Teach the kids more than just soccer skills - you help teach them important values and life lessons
Cons
You're working with kids, so that can definitely wear on you. Some people LOVE kids, if you do - this is the gig for you! Kids you coach range in ages from 2-8. The younger ones have a hard time focusing which can be frustrating. Since they are so young, a lot of them haven't played soccer before so you're starting from scratch. You have to be very clear and repeat yourself a lot for younger kids. Almost one kid cries each session (over not getting the ball, falling down, not being allowed to go off the field, etc.) Some of the parents (obviously not the fault of Soccer Shots) can be difficult.
