Pros

The people so far have been the best part, and even though I've been in the biz for a while, I learn a ton everyday. I know the company has had challenges in the past regarding work-life balance and management, and while these things are still improving, I have so far felt very respected and supported when I block off parts of my time for my family. The flexibility and fluidity of the work environment is perfect for my style (might not be everyone's cup of tea), although I also see the company making real efforts to better manage quality in the context of a fast growing company.I was an independent consultant for 10 years and joining Social Impact has so far been the best decision for me financially and professionally.

Cons

Indeed the company is growing and new sets of skills and experience are now needed at all levels of the company. So in one sense, this creates a bit of chaos and quick change, but it also means there's a lot of opportunity here.

Pros

The name of the company leads people to believe it is an impactful place to work for. It's not.

Cons

The new administration shut down nearly all work at SI because of the way they handled USAID. There is a skeleton staff now, but the good workers have moved on.
