Pros

Capable, experienced people who are well-intentioned. Is flexible with work timings as long as you get the work done. Interesting and relevant conversations on DEI.

Cons

The compensations are on the lower side, good projects can take very long (and years) to come by, the pathway to next steps and role is not clear. It's a great place to work for if you're hire as a fresh graduate but if you come in with a lot of experience the chances of being 'stuck' in a role is high.

Pros

The name of the company leads people to believe it is an impactful place to work for. It's not.

Cons

The new administration shut down nearly all work at SI because of the way they handled USAID. There is a skeleton staff now, but the good workers have moved on.
