Pros

Social atmosphere, opportunities for interesting technical work, and hard-working colleagues to learn from

Cons

Project portfolio satisfaction is the luck of the draw, and most mentorship and technical learning opportunities must be explicitly sought out. If you're not in the good graces of the company's upper crust, you'll be denied opportunities for growth. Relentless attention to client satisfaction comes at a cost, and staff burnout is common.

Pros

The name of the company leads people to believe it is an impactful place to work for. It's not.

Cons

The new administration shut down nearly all work at SI because of the way they handled USAID. There is a skeleton staff now, but the good workers have moved on.
