Pros

Decent pay and benefit package. Most of the work is on computer and by appointment. As long as additional clients without appointments don't demand immediate attention your day can be organized and productive.

Cons

Often it is who you know not what you do as far as advancement. Some of the promotions are considered questionable by fellow employees. Clientele can be demanding and disrespectful as they see you as "Government" instead of a person. Armed guards are present in offices.

Pros

flexibility, teleworking, pay, and holidays off cool work environment.

Cons

Everything's on a quota, heavy workload, dealing with irritated claimants—it's not really a legal job.
