Pros

Flexible schedule, benefits, and leave.

Cons

Lack of opportunity advancement. CSR position is capped at the GS-8 grade and there are not many growth opportunities within the position. Most CSR's are trying to become Claims Representative because the pay is better and there are growth opportunities such as leadership development etc. Internal promotion will take time, depending of your field office, more than likely will hire off the street that promote internally.

Everything's on a quota, heavy workload, dealing with irritated claimants—it's not really a legal job.
