Pros
You can't really beat federal benefits and at the time I was working for the organization we had the option to work a hybrid schedule which wasn't an option prior to the Covid shut down.
Cons
As a claim specialist you will have a heavy work load and deadlines are very demanding and sometimes unrealistic. If your office is under staffed like mine, you'll have to pick up the slack from the customer service reps. We were allotted days we could work on claims to get caught up but if the customer service phone lines were busy claim specialists would have to take calls and I don't mean one or two.
