Pros

The work is challenging and will keep you preoccupied and constantly developing.There can be room for growth and promotional opportunities. There is no work that can be performed here without independent research and abby applying policy and procedure. Also wage increases and flexibility can be great.

Cons

The agency's employee retention is poor. Some divisions are micromanaged immensely. Training sometimes does not align with what is most relevant but any position in the agency requires ongoing and comprehensive training. Management can be improvident, reactive, and convey retaliatory behavior at times. In addition, management may not accept valuable feedback from employees that could encourage/implement necessary change. Telework/remote work has been canceled although it existed way before the pandemic.
