Pros
Steady work Schedule, holidays off, and building a relationship with the clients is why most employees put up with all the crap from the management. Only thing I miss about working there are my clients. They get so attach and you of them.
Cons
Where do I start...no room for advancement. You start as a "DSP" and if you want a higher position you go for the activity coordinator which has 10 times more of the responsibilities for only a QUARTER more! Everything is all about the money, for every client they get in their facility that's extra money only for the program director. You deal with fits, hitting, spitting, soiled diapers, screaming, self harm, etc etc There are no bonus or benefits, for thanksgiving the regional people sent us 20$ Von's gift cards -.- They have a NO TOLORANCE FOR GOSSIPING, Yet that's what everybody lives for especially the admin staff and the regional staff. They are ALL woman so you can just imagine. Basically STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU'RE NOT A BUTT KISSER and don't like to be taken advantage of!
