Pros
-support from regional level -growth within the organization, not much in unit -good place to start gaining experience -you’ll get fully immersed in all aspects of the operations, and if you observe your counterparts you will gain great experience not only in marketing -Fun Events -Great networking
Cons
When working for a university/college: -high stress environment during events and campus activities -labor shortage, so you are expected to help out (which is good when you have the time and energy, but draining after you’ve worked a full day.. and you’re salary & exempt) -frequent long hours -not the best pay, low raises -for many institutions, marketing specialists/coordinators control all marketing. Make sure you have interns/employees for support
