Pros

being in the renewable energy field. benefits were not badly priced but benefits department is a joke to handle anything. very easy job, ridiculously easy job (brainless)

Cons

pay for most in the company is very poor. Very few make over 100k as i did. the company only cares about numbers. customer service employees job quality and safety all take the back of the bus compared to the numbers of installs. poor management, people in positions they shouldnt be. even the ceo only care about numbers issue brought to their attention they just sweep it under the solar panel. lots and lots of waste. extremely overwhelmed and unprepared way too many cons to list. i had bought stock in this company before i was an employee but sold it while i was working there as i became aware that this company is not going to last. all around every employee i have spoke with has nothing but bad things to say about it but at the same time dont want to leave until they get another job. turnover rate is high and most of the guys they hire should not have a job.

Pros

Just to quantify my review a bit, I am within the top 10% of inside sales reps within our 12,000 person company. It is a great place to work and people doing well ARE able to make good money here. The executive team ALWAYS has a platform for reps to help make SolarCity a better place every quarter. They involve the top 20 reps each quarter in various ways to help their peers through an interactive group called Team Elite. Executives, VP's, Directors, and Managers are always willing to help and go to bat when there are issues with things that need to be fixed. The direction of the company is consistent and although the company is large, decision makers work as hard as possible to steer the big ship quickly when necessary.

Cons

Knee jerk reactions with decision making at a director level create issues from time to time. Culture has had its ups and downs due to HUGE growth last year and subsequent high attrition rates.
