Pros
Everyday I wake up knowing I will help someone switch to solar energy. I'm fortunate and proud to have that feeling everyday. I'm not sugar coating when I say SolarCity is giving the world a fighting chance to solve global warming. SolarCity is becoming more vertically integrated. Even as a software developer, I have so many opportunities in the technology stack and across domain like process management, geo, grid management, finance.
Cons
When the company doubles all its metrics every year we have to solve problems that have not been solved before by the company or anyone else. Things move at break neck pace. I could have put this in the pros section too. Decisions are made very quickly which means you will get unblocked quickly. This also means you may get work with very short deadlines to unblock someone else.
