Pros

Met some great people. Lunch catered once a week

Cons

- Management haven't a clue - most have never managed before and try to enforce a "model" that is not a model at all, it is just harassment! Thats what Solarwinds want you to do, constantly bombard people with calls and mails until they purchase the product! Morale is non existent - most staff have had enough of the threats sent out via mail and face to face. This is the reality. You don't hit target, you are fired! Politics - in every workplace, but Solarwinds take this to another level. Management have their favorites, and at times you have to wonder how these people are still working there...It's because all these favorites get the best leads. Dont dare call them out on this, because as you guessed.....you WILL be fired! You are not a person when you work here, you are just a number - do not get comfortable, do not look at this as a career move! If you want to make good money, in a short period of time, by all means work here - but be prepared for the harassment, threats and crap that comes along with it!

Pros

Amazing office space in Charlotte with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. There are plenty of social events and networking opportunities that help employees stay engaged and build relationships across different business units. The recent IT reorganization has created a unique opportunity to participate in system and process design initiatives. While this level of change and transformation may not appeal to everyone, it offers valuable experience for those who enjoy shaping new processes and driving organizational improvements. I am optimistic about the direction of the organization and confident in the vision and leadership of the new IT management team.

Cons

Career advancement opportunities can sometimes feel limited within a satellite office environment, and promotion paths are not always clearly defined. Employees seeking long-term growth may benefit from having proactive career development conversations with leadership. The recent IT reorganization has introduced a period of transition, resulting in some uncertainty and lower morale across parts of the organization. The department is currently in a rebuilding phase, and new employees should expect to contribute to the implementation of new processes, systems, and ways of working. Compensation appears to be somewhat below market rates for certain roles, which may be a consideration for candidates prioritizing salary growth.
