Pros

No micro managing (at least with my manager, I’ve heard different with other managers) you show up, do your work, and go home. You don’t have to answer to anyone constantly or ask what you need to do - but it’s still a team environment so help is there if you need it. Work ends when you clock out - it doesn’t come home with you.

Cons

There is no such thing as a raise here unless you apply for a better paying position. You can work the same job for multiple years and not get any performance based raise - even if you beat their expectations. There is no reason to go above and beyond what is expected of you. During training/interview process the company really tries to drill in that the technical support position is just temporary and make it sound that you can move anywhere in the company you want from there - that is absolutely not the case. Anytime you apply to another position outside of the technical support department your application is either ignored or rejected without an actual explanation as to why, and what you can work towards to make yourself a better candidate. The technical support reps are not treated as fairly as other departments and corporate never gives it the attention it deserves/needs. When COVID-19 started our workforce was cut nearly 50% - which was understandable at the time since the entire country was in lockdown. Even then we were working very hard to handle all the calls. Now with majority of the country back open, the company’s response in bringing back employees/hiring new reps has been INCREDIBLY slow. We have been over worked for months and knowing that we won’t get any sort of compensation for it in return really makes it difficult to recommend working here.

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

The company has significant issues that make it difficult to recommend as a long-term workplace. HR support is virtually non-existent, leaving employees without meaningful assistance when concerns arise. Favoritism appears to influence decisions more than performance or merit, creating an unfair work environment. There are very few opportunities for career growth, and many employees find themselves in stagnant roles with little chance for advancement. Even when employees consistently exceed expectations and earn recognition, raises are infrequent or nonexistent, making it difficult to feel valued for hard work. Additionally, there is a noticeable lack of professionalism at the management level. Communication, accountability, and leadership standards need significant improvement. Overall, the company would benefit from investing in stronger leadership, a more effective HR department, and a culture that rewards performance fairly.
