Incredibly skilled people working in an environment so efficient I forgot it was government contracting. - Software Engineer Solers Employee Review

Pros

Projects are abundant and very interesting; an effort is made to apply cutting edge technologies and ideas when possible, and co-workers are so engaged and talented that I had many opportunities to gain industry and technical knowledge. Additionally, the team structure, internal organization, and configuration management tools that have been set up make the software development process run smoother than I've seen at any other software contracting company.

Cons

Inter-project communication could be more frequent, to let employees know what the rest of the company is working on.

Pros

-One of the best 401(k) deals not matching but giving 8% -Don't have to worry about working past 5 pm / easy to separate work and life and plan vacations, etc -Though based on project, most managers are understanding of schedules and are flexible - Higher managers are approachable though I am not sure if they are paying attention to what the individual engineer has to say. -Own office -Frequent Bonuses. A con is that no one knows what these bonuses are based off of. -Most of the people you work with are very intelligent and helpful.

Cons

- No work from home policy, though some middle managers will work from home. You will have a manager tell you you cannot work from home when its snowing but that same manager will send an email saying "I am working from home today because it is snowing / someone is sick. You can get a hold of me via email or on my cell" - Engineers are not given freedom to install new software without getting permission from IT. This can make your project more difficult when your system does not have the adequate tools to complete a job but you must wait for someone to install new software / adjust a setting on your computer since you do not have the permission. - Projects are not exciting
