Pros

- you learn several transferrable skills - training/support from management and senior account executives - pleasant working environment - flexible scheduling and the option to wfh once certain metrics have been hit - independence of planning out your workday and how you`d like to delegate tasks - you essentially get out what you put in, so if you work hard you are rewarded accordingly - upward mobility in compensation is based on hitting certain metrics not tenure, so you can accelerate your comp quickly

Cons

- the internal colleague compensation/commission structure is not up to par with other staffing agencies - work-life balance can be difficult... if you want to be highly successful in the recruiting industry you often have to sacrifice your free time to ensure candidates are doing what they need to get done before their first day. This includes taking calls on weekends and/or after typical office hours. Of course, this is not a requirement of the role, but to get ahead it may be necessary.

Pros

Met some good friends and bonded over shared trauma

Cons

The salary is a misery, there are absolutely no incentives starting at 2% commission - for about a year, commission per month will be about $100 at the very best and yet they lie about first year OTE being about $15k. You’re also encouraged and expected to work over 40 hours a week even though there’s absolutely no incentives to do so and berated when you work what you should: The company has insanely high attrition and turnover rates. The majority of the company is under a year and actively trying to leave. One of their biggest problem is management; the majority of managers should not be in their positions. There’s a toxic culture of pettiness and arrogance. Do not expect to grow professionally at all-I was doing the exact same job as a manager who had been there for almost 10 years. Do not expect to feel supported or heard by any of the higher ups-they actively implements an alarming amount of changes without asking AEs first and then, when they don’t work, they make even more changes. Overall, if you can avoid working at this company, you should. It is a horrible place that preys on new graduates that have limited opportunities.
