Pros

Recruiter has been excellent but he is limited in what he can do to get my problem solved.

Cons

I cannot reach payroll to ask them to keep their promise to correct my paycheck. They promised my recruiter that the next paycheck would be corrected but I just looked and it has not; this is the second week of this huge error. The wages are correct on their portal but the deductions are way out of line and not what I submitted when I was hired. At first I was irritated but now it is escalating as I cannot trust that they will ever correct this error. And the worse part is that I cannot talk to anyone nor email anyone. Only my recruiter can contact them. Because there is no way to contact payroll which is obviously remote and contracted, it is even more imperative that they establish trust and keep promises they make especially when it is they who have committed the error. I am happy with my position and with my recruiter but this glitch in payroll is deeply damaging my opinion of the company.

Pros

- The pay is not bad for the most part. You get paid weekly instead of biweekly or monthly. - Good way to start your CFY if you want to dip your toes into a school setting. - I got a placement very quickly (Only a few days). - Decent benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision). - Great support from my supervisor. - Great work/life balance.

Cons

- No pay during the holidays (summer/winter break) - Some miscommunication between the school and the agency. For example, on my first day at work, I was assigned to start at the beginning of the year. When I went to the front office, nobody knew I was the new SLP. The staff and I had to scramble on what to do with me. It was quite confusing and overwhelming. - The school district does not give you full access to their system (e.g., Areies, SEIS) due to not being a direct hire.

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback! We’re glad to hear you felt supported by your supervisor, appreciated the work/life balance, and found the placement process quick and efficient. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding communication and system access challenges. We understand how frustrating that first-day experience must have been, and we’re continuously working with our school partners to improve onboarding and coordination processes.
