An empty promise! - Software Engineer Sonder Employee Review

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. While we’re happy that you appreciate the great perks Sonder has to offer, we are saddened to hear about the cons listed in your review. While some of our perk offerings did change this past year, we are pleased to be able to offer new additions to those offerings, to include Pet Insurance, Volunteer Time Off, Voluntary Accident Insurance. We’re also excited to have reinstated monthly culture budgets, allowing employees necessary time to bond and relax with their teams. Additionally, we’re developing a brand-new Benefits Engagement plan to make sure all employees are informed about their available benefits, to be released in the next few months. In regards to long hours and stress management, over the last year we have put concrete measures into place to improve work-life balance for our teams, such as hiring again to help alleviate workloads, and creating a ‘Workplace Wellness’ series with interactive sessions to explore aspects of physical, emotional, and interpersonal wellness. We are focused on improving the Sonder employee experience for everyone and would welcome a discussion with you further, if you’re comfortable.
