Pros

- The perks are awesome. Never had trouble taking vacations, and it's great to have access to such useful service when traveling - Great communication between different teams, and with leadership - Sonder supports you when you want to go above and beyond your particular role: Like presenting? They will hand you a stage and a mic. Like design? They will hand you paper, pen, and surround you with experts. Like working with experimental software? They will give you the budget and encourage you to tinker away, as long as it has potential to bring back value to the company.

Cons

Like most software companies, you are spread pretty thin and under constant stress. From picking up calls in the weekend, debugging production, measuring impact of your own work, to of course delivering software to users, there is no way to specialize or do just what you like to do at Sonder. Particular to Sonder, is how you are pushed out of your comfort zone. You might be a backend web developer, but if the need is for mobile development, well, you are a mobile developer now! This is unfortunate if you were planning to do a career in backend or frontend development.
