Pros

This company used to be a good place to work, with fair management, now it is sweat shop.

Cons

August 2025 1 year later yest another round of small Layoffs. They have made it nearly impossible to collect commissions based on its comp structure. SonicWall was once a solid company with strong talent and innovative products, but recent leadership changes and business practices have eroded both employee trust and product quality. Culture of Retaliation: Speaking up about problems—whether technical or strategic—often results in termination. This is true regardless of performance or expertise. Layoffs Under the Radar: Instead of large, transparent layoffs, the company conducts small, ongoing cuts to avoid public reporting, creating an atmosphere of constant job insecurity. Artificially Inflated Ratings: Around a year ago, employees were offered cash incentives to post Glassdoor reviews. While not explicitly requiring positive feedback, the nature of the program led to a sudden spike in favorable ratings, which does not reflect current realities. Product Issues Ignored: Known problems (e.g., NSM) remain unresolved as leadership prioritizes short-term financial targets over long-term customer satisfaction and product stability. Leadership Shift: The prior CEO, while blunt and at times abrasive, was transparent about company direction. The current CEO presents a polished demeanor but has a track record of making commitments to employees and then reversing course without warning, often resulting in terminations.

Thank you for such a sincere review. We strive to promote a culture where team members support each other, share knowledge, and leverage each other's strengths to achieve outstanding results. Seeing how many of our employees are remote, we have utilized easy, accessible avenues for teams to communicate, but sometimes the lack of in-person interaction can hinder those conversations. It's good to know where we should readdress those avenues of communication.
