I've been here for about 3 years now and have seen the various ups and downs. Part of any acquisition would be the challenges that come with it and the local management team here was able to fix a lot of them afterwards. The voices of us Engineers is truly heard and because the director and managers were themselves part of a call taking role earlier in their own respective career , they know the challenges that an engineer goes through and are able to address everything. The teams are engaged and there is good spirited competition between all the teams. Call flow was a massive challenge and more than 60 engineers have been recruited recently in 3 months. ACW time was a challenge - This has also been increased to help the engineers with case documentation time . I'm just happy that my manager doesn't breathe fire down on me if i dont meet my targets or miss them continuosly .. he understands my position and gives me the space to improve. Almost everyone is accomodating of one another. I have been in other companies and seen what pressure / stress is ... trust me ... this place doesn't have pressure ..... I'm happy that a lot of the negative minded peers of mine left in the 6-7 months earlier. If you dint like something - Bring it up and talk to your manager - Don't sit and keep it boiling in your head. Saying bad things and spreading negativity is simply stupid and immature. I'm happy where I am and plan to stay here for longer. The exposure on learning is massive.. we are not just assigned to one part of the device but the entire device . I get to learn on every technology that is out there for a Firewall. VPN, UTM, IPS, Certificates , SSL, DPI , everything ..... There is Team outing every 2 qtrs to a resort for team bonding & activities . Every team that meets its targets for the month get to choose our own restaurant for a team Lunch . We also get to sit and dine with the Executive director at a 5 star hotel for being a top performer every Quarter. There is also a monthly recognition of achievers from all teams and they also get to go out every month with the site director and interact with him.
Cons
Midnight Snacks // Food - Not a disasater but bad enough on certain days. I just get my own snaks and order in now. No Vending Machine in the office - Please get one !!!!!!!!!!!!! Please ask the security in the basement to be more casual . They take security very seriously. It is good in one way but can get on my nerves sometime.
