Pros
You will get a in-depth understanding of the art world and the house's place in it, wonderful place to network if you know who to talk to. Many edifying opportunities for personal growth. Basically, you'll become more cultured if you pay attention. If you have a good manager
Cons
Learning will plateau in the first two months. You're surrounded by nepo-babies that are threatened at if you're (incredibly) competent. Upper management has their head in the clouds and reminiscences about the glory days 20 years ago. Highly patriarchal environment, microagressions abound. Little to no representation for BIPOC individuals in the company at large. Managers don't know how to lead, and more often than not you just run errands that make little sense on your resume. The company will just use you if you don't use them first. Incredibly underpaid for the toxic environment that it is.
