*While there is an effort to educate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, we have some opportunity to live it by sharing more information about why something is significant. For example, October is Filipino American Heritage Month and it was mentioned that we recognize it by honoring their culture and traditions, but it was just a surface level announcement. What are their traditions and contributions? At my previous employer, we had a DEI Team who took the time to share details about our Global Community. We also recognized that DEI involved continuous dialog followed up by action. For example, a neurodiversity team was created so that the Company could learn how to better support their staff and then started implementing some of their suggestions. *It's great to have a hybrid schedule of coming in the office and working from home; Almost all of the meetings I attend are via Teams (with our cameras on to make it friendlier), which is something I can do from home. It's great to see people in person, but I would like to have the option to WFH more often.
