Pros

(BDR Perspective ) The company culture is amazing SOVOS is one of a kind in that regard, you have access to unlimited snacks , everybody is fun and friendly and they have a pretty relaxed dress code and PTO policy. You also get to work in an environment where everybody wants to see you win and be your best .

Cons

( BDR Perspective ) The training should be revamped or separated into different classes for the line of business and job position you will be working. Because the current system seems like a month long jam of a little of everything but nothing teaching you the actually tools or equipping you with the functions to succeed right out the gate. Instead you leave training confused and having to depend on your peers daily to help you figure out how to do your daily job functions. BDR Management isn’t the best really no help can be found going to management , she will just ask if you asked one of your peers in advance of coming to her, and then parking lot the questions or ask why you don’t understand. Team morale is very low as a collective BDR team we all feel the pains of a bad manager. No team engagement from the manager or clear expectations. And she just doesn’t seem to be that knowledgeable or well liked to lead the BDR team to its full potential. These are concerns only related to BDR’s in the Atlanta location.

Appreciate the review provided. You bring up some good points and I’d like to take the time to address. First, we appreciate your call out to the company culture. This is the most consistent piece of feedback we get - and its directly attributable to the talented and motivated employees who make up this organization. We DO want everyone to succeed – we cannot truly Solve Tax for Good unless every person here does well. Let’s address your feedback in terms of the training. This is not the first time we’ve heard this, and although you may not be aware, we are building and implementing strategies that have started to help tackle this head on. There is quite an investment with our new hire onboarding to ensure the right tools, skills and abilities are in place to be successful. And based off of the feedback we’ve received, we missed the mark, so we’re making improvements. If you have any ideas I’d encourage you to connect directly with our dedicated trainer. I would like to discuss the area that I am sensing you are most passionate about, which is management. We hold our management team to a high standard. They are expected to not only embody our company core values, but also additional Sovos leadership characteristics and traits which are our competencies. I take your feedback personally, and will be actioning to investigate this more. I do consider these type of comments critical, and would encourage you to connect with me directly so that it may be addressed and corrected in a timely manner. Or if preferred, contact a member of the HR team. Again, appreciate the constructive feedback.

Thank you for sharing this, and welcome to the team! It's wonderful to hear that your recruiting experience set such a positive tone from the start. Cassie is a great example of the kind of Sovosians we are proud to have representing our culture, and knowing she made you feel informed and at ease throughout the process genuinely matters to us. We also love hearing that your first day onboarding helped you connect with our values and get a feel for what we do. That experience is something we work hard to get right, and your feedback confirms it's landing the way we intend. We're glad you're here, and we look forward to growing together. Pros

Being Remote and standard benefits

Cons

Sales leadership is horrendous. New people are brought in not trained, aggressive targets (that have never been hit) usually designed to be the escape goats to protect the old guard. Long tenured sales protects the existing power structures. When results slip, they blame newer reps. New hires don’t hit, quotas unrealistic, weak implementation. Nightmare of a company, the worst I have ever worked at.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Feedback matters, even when we see things differently. Quota-setting and new hire ramp structures are areas we invest in seriously - they're because we want our sellers to win, not to set anyone up to fail. That's the culture we've built, and it's one I'm proud of. That said, I do hear that your experience hasn't matched that intent. If there are specific gaps in how you were onboarded or supported, I'd genuinely like to understand them so we can keep getting better. Please connect with HR or reach out to me directly. We're committed to building a team where every rep has a real shot at success! Alice Katwan, President of Revenue, Sovos
