Pros

Good company culture, good people, not a ruthless sales environment where you will get canned after one or two bad quarters, as long as you are building pipeline, are a team player, good employee, etc.

Cons

However, relatively lower in the pay scale compared to other software companies from a sales perspective as they have way too many account executives and not nearly enough BDRs / inside sales support.

Thank you for your feedback and very much appreciate your callout about our people and company culture. These are the cornerstones of any great company so I’m glad you also feel positive about these aspects of life at Sovos. Regarding your comments on our pay and financial incentives, please be assured that we continually benchmark against the market to ensure we are competitive. Additionally, our sales representatives have no cap in terms of commission, which gives each person great opportunity to work hard and reap the rewards. Having the support of inside sales and Business Development Reps is of course critical and we are actively hiring for these roles in the US to help fill that gap. If you would like to refer any great candidates to us, please encourage them to visit our Careers Page and to put you down as a referral. As you know we also incentivize successful referrals! If you’d like to discuss any of these points in more detail my door is always open. Great to have you on the team and thanks again for your feedback.

Thank you for sharing this, and welcome to the team! It's wonderful to hear that your recruiting experience set such a positive tone from the start. Cassie is a great example of the kind of Sovosians we are proud to have representing our culture, and knowing she made you feel informed and at ease throughout the process genuinely matters to us. We also love hearing that your first day onboarding helped you connect with our values and get a feel for what we do. That experience is something we work hard to get right, and your feedback confirms it's landing the way we intend. We're glad you're here, and we look forward to growing together. Pros

Being Remote and standard benefits

Cons

Sales leadership is horrendous. New people are brought in not trained, aggressive targets (that have never been hit) usually designed to be the escape goats to protect the old guard. Long tenured sales protects the existing power structures. When results slip, they blame newer reps. New hires don’t hit, quotas unrealistic, weak implementation. Nightmare of a company, the worst I have ever worked at.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Feedback matters, even when we see things differently. Quota-setting and new hire ramp structures are areas we invest in seriously - they're because we want our sellers to win, not to set anyone up to fail. That's the culture we've built, and it's one I'm proud of. That said, I do hear that your experience hasn't matched that intent. If there are specific gaps in how you were onboarded or supported, I'd genuinely like to understand them so we can keep getting better. Please connect with HR or reach out to me directly. We're committed to building a team where every rep has a real shot at success! Alice Katwan, President of Revenue, Sovos
