Pros
SpaceX gives you a lot of autonomy. There are growth opportunities for those who take initiative, and the mission of the company is incredibly inspiring. It's an exciting place to come to work everyday.
Cons
The work is demanding. It's a large company that's being run like a start up, which in and of itself has pros and cons. On the cons side, that means sometimes sacrificing implementing a good process in favor of a cheap or fast process (but just to be clear, not at the expense of safety or quality of products). Sometimes you have to do three different full time jobs to be successful.
