Not as bad as working at the other big chains, but… - Pharmacy Technician SpartanNash Employee Review

Pros

There are still remnants of what it felt like to work at a small chain here (smaller number of Rx’s filled per day, knowing your regular customers, etc.). You have some of the benefits of a large chain, like EyeCon pill counters to help you fill Rx’s faster and more accurately.

Cons

There are weekly (sometimes daily) emails pushing you to administer vaccines (because they are one of the few ways that you can make even a small profit in retail pharmacy these days). Also, there aren’t currently enough pharmacists on staff to keep all of the pharmacies open during their regular hours 100% of the time. They do their best to fill in the holes in the schedules, but it’s not as consistent as it used to be that all locations will be open when they’re scheduled to be open.
