The company is willing to take calculated risks on individuals they see potential in. There is not doubt about it, you have to put in the work and gain trust over time. If you show up every day willing to learn, do your best, and collaborate with your teammates, it is recognized and you are given more opportunities to professional develop, contribute to company wide initiatives, help shape the organization, and eventually, hopefully, move up within the company. The opportunity is what attracted me to the company in the first place. There are no guarantees in life, but there are plenty of opportunities here at Spectora.
Cons
Ever hear of the phrase "drinking from a fire hose"? It's no different than any other start up -- there are growing pains as the company shifts from a small start up to a mid-size, established company. Initiatives and communication sometimes falls through the cracks. At Spectora, we lead with empathy and grace. There is only so much bandwidth and capacity a lot of our team members have as we shift into this "messy middle", especially the Leadership Team. There is a lot of moving pieces happening, which is good, but it can be overwhelming at times. If you can be flexible, adapt, and roll with the punches, you'll be just fine.
