Pros
The pay is higher than most, 20.00 per hour starting pay. The benefits are neat too, with discounted or free home internet and cable. Mobile lines discounted at 15.00 per month per line.
Cons
The cons is it is highly stressful, with callers calling in cursing you out. You do get your share of abusive callers and some customers that are just exhausting. I found it for me to be personally emotionally stressful. There are metrics we need to meet and from what I learned working in the overnight shift is very difficult to level up. But agents that were in my same training class worked day shifts and they were able to level up right away in less than a year. I saw this also from both centers I worked at. Overnight pays about a dollar more, but they don't tell you it is almost impossible to level up. There has been plenty of overnight agents that worked 4 to 9 years still at Rep 1. The ones that do get a chance to move to day shift level up to Rep 2 and Rep 3. Plus there is some toxic trainers and harassment in the workplace. But since they have been there for quite some time, there behavior is overlooked and hidden. The trainer will blatantly tell the new hire class, that nothing will be done to him no matter how many complaints or concerns are filed. But as a new hire, you really don't know who to trust or confide in. Of course there is favoritism, as there is in every workplace. Then there are the agents that are having relations with supervisors. The best thing is to work the day shifts, level up, stay on top of your attendance, don't be late avoid calling in and learn as much as you can.
