Pros
Benefits used to be good but they get worse every year. I do not have work related stress and work a normal 40 hour work week without expectation of working beyond that. They did start an education benefit for free education opportunities BUT so far it's not helped me to progress. You do get free cable and a big discount on mobile services but you will be taxed on the the equipment and mobile discounts you get, so basically it appears you are making more income than you actually are.

Ahh where to start? Benefits get worse every year. They keep saying they are awesome because they haven't raised insurance prices in years.. this is true BUT they get worse every year. For example we lost our free virtual visits, they lowered the value of your life insurance payout if you dies, When I started it was 3x your salary now its 1.5x. RX prices went up, if you are getting weight loss meds you now have to go through an app and THEY decide if you'll get your meds, not your doctor and no ones know what to expect from them but think the worst. Basically our benefits are a prefect example of shrinkflation. I've taken the certificate programs they offer BUT have not progressed in my career at all despite taking super long courses. In my department there is no exposure to new people or departments or learning on the job opportunities. I'm so sad working here that it's the primary reason I sought therapy and they they took those free visits away so that's really great. I've been here so long looking outside the company will start me over with PTO but at this point I think that's a risk I'll have to take and look else where for my own sanity and happiness, My department is also super bad about favorites and they get all the special work and exposure. you will never get a decent annual review rating. We've literally been told you can't get a 5 (even though it's an option) because no one is that great, almost no one gets a 4, the exceptions in my experience are when you have hard number metrics or you are a favorite. A 4 is considered "exceeded expectations". That said everyone basically gets a 3 which is "achieved expectations". So in the case of my department the best employee and the worst employee will both likely get a 3...why work hard? As for ratings 2 and 1, I hear that if you get that you basically are on a PIP. I'm sure people are happy here but I've been here 15+ years and would never recommend anyone work here based on my treatment and happiness over the years. Do not expect decent pay, despite college and certificates and tenure I still make less than the national average and WAY less than peers who work elsewhere with similar experience and education. Also no one will listen to you. Got an idea? Keep it to yourself, no one cares. Found a problem? LOL no one will address it or fix it. And oddly enough I see no info on the intranet about so many things. Want to know how to make a complaint with HR? Good luck, there is nothing online about it except to report legal issues. Once I emailed my HR person with a question and a correction on my profile in the system. It was so hard to find out who to reach out to I had to check all my info in the payroll section and then when I did reach out I never heard back and was completely ignored.
